Walls We Were Never Meant To Climb

The human mind is fickle.

We constantly strive for greatness, for wider perspectives and greater depths.

We claw our way upwards, scathing our knees and muddying our hands in the process. "Short term sacrifices", we mumble to ourselves.

Short term sacrifices.

But once the frog has leapt out of the well and has basked under the heat of direct sunlight, the whale sings and realizes it's alone.

There's a certain type of sadness that comes with success; short term sacrifices mocking us in our bones.
